Rtd AIG Ali-Jos Decries Rising Cases Of Drug Addictions And Children’s Dropout In Nigeria

Elder of Plateau State ,Former Assistant Inspector General ( AIG ) rtd Turaki  Ali-Jos  has decried the deplorably loss of morals and falling standard of education in Nigeria as he  attributed the scourge to Parents ,guardian ,religious leaders and teachers in  the global new trend of technologies.

 

Ali Jos made this disclosure at the first ITTIHADU ANWARIL organization of HIDAYAT for Arabia and Islamic Principals of 500 schools, primary school teachers in Plateau state, Jos North Local Government Area.

 

The first Educational conference 2018 with theme, “collapse of our schools and the Negative attitudes of our teachers and parents “, the consequences of our falling standard of education the contribution of children, parents, government and the community leaders in the management of the society.

 

According to the retired AIG, parents should not push all the blame to government because the government cannot be everywhere to guide our children for us is the parents’ responsibility to train their worth on how to behave in the community.

 

Ali-Jos emphasized that the menace if not tackle is given the government sleepless night ,some parents are not supporting government gesture to  address the growing violence extremism and drugs addiction in the north  which had destroy the population of youths .

 

Meanwhile, the Chairman convener, Alh Yusuf Yahaya said, the interface organized today is to try and identify the problems by interacting with the schools children, and students on the rising cause crisis, drugs addiction and high rate youth restiveness especially in Jos North LGA.

 

We intend to find out from the pupils whether the teachers are responsible for the plight or there are issues that need urgent intervention to nip the exercise on board.

 

Yahaya stressed the kick start the workshop with 50 schools and 100 teachers everyday on the major challenges of youths which led to many dropout and leading them to go into dangerous substance that destroy their future .

 

He disclosed that they are mobilizing their resources together towards tackling the rising cases of drug addictions that had affected youths, we see women engaging in late night and clubbing yet they refuse to avail themselves to be train.

 

Islamiya primary school CIS ,Bauchi Road ,Jos where the teachers and principals all assembly to receive training workshop on the way forward ,Yusuf Yahaya cautions parents to be committed in the upbringing of their children.
