Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya is very much occupied with legislative matters

The attention of the office of the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly has been drawn to an online publication alleging that Rt. Hon Monday Igbuya had approached members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the House asking them to contribute the sum of five million naira each for the purpose of inducing members of the Delta State Election Tribunal to obtain favourable judgement in the court.

We wish to state that at no time had the Honorable Speaker or his proxy, canvassed or solicited any financial contribution or otherwise to placate or induce anybody for that purpose. This campaign is politically motivated, callous and only existed in the figment of imagination of the paid writer to smear the hard image of the Honorable Speaker.

Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya is very much occupied with legislative matters and could not have engaged himself in petite, trivial and dishonourable conduct that belittles the office of the speaker.
