Revealed: How  Nasarawa Commissioner For Works Housing And Transport, Yahaya Wada Allegedly Acquired Wealth, Abandoned His People, Seeks To Become Lawmaker In 2019

The Nasarawa state Commissioner for Works and Transport, Mr. Yahaya Wada, may be the longest-serving commissioner under Al-Makura, but information available to universalreportersng.com indicates that he has used his long stay in the government to acquire wealth and riches for himself.

As gathered by this medium indicates that Mr. Yahaya Wada in the last seven years plus as Commissioner has acquired assets for himself, this medium finding reveals that he as an eatery and restaurant center, a place he didn’t have before becoming a commissioner.

Universalreportersng.com gathered eatery which is located in Keffi is one of the assets acquired by the commissioner.

Aside from the eatery center, this medium also found out that the commissioner may have used his influence as the Commissioner for Works, Housing, and Transport to also set up a place where heavy equipment for Lifting, Mining, and Construction Equipment are rented. Equipment such as Excavator, Dumper, Truck, Forklift, Crane, Backhoe, and Loader, etc is found there. The same is also located in Keffi.

Universalreportersng.com findings show that aside from this he has other properties located in some parts of Nasarawa like Lafia and Keffi.

On the home front, universalreportersng.com learnt that the Commissioner spite of his claim of his closeness to Governor Al-Makura has not contributed anything positive to his people of Keffi, it was gathered that since becoming Commissioner, there is no person from Keffi that is even chairman of Board of the State MDAs, neither are there someone who is appointed as Special Adviser from  Keffi area where he came from.

Rather it learnt that he goes about telling the Governor that the people are against him, they don’t like him, all this in a bid to spoil them before the Governor so that they cannot come close to the Governor.

There has not been anything tangible he has done or attracted to the people of Keffi in spite of getting close to eight years as commissioner in the State, the only thing he can boast of doing for his people as Commissioner is the construction of Tonson Kasuwa To Makera road which led to his family home.

A surprising thing about him is that even his extended family members he has refused to help, for instance a scenario that shows that he is not keen on helping his family members is the issue of a cousin of his who is working with Keffi Local Government,  but had issue that for three and half years he never received but surprisingly Commissioner couldn’t help him to rectify the issue, not until the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy affair Tijani Aliyu, came to his aid and his problem was solved at the local government.

Again findings by this medium indicates that during the recently held Local Government election in the State, it was alleged that he was giving the sum of N10 million to be used for election logistics in Keffi, but surprisingly also it was alleged that he spent only N3.5 million naira and pocketed the remaining balance of the money.

Speaking with some persons from Keffi, they told this medium that as it is now he is planning to run for State House of Assembly for Keffi even when he has not done anything for them in his almost eight years as Commissioner.

“We won’t agree to that for him, he has not done anything for us since as Commissioner, is it when he becomes a lawmaker that he will do something for us,” an indigene of Keffi told this medium.

Speaking further he said, we have not chosen him, we have a candidate we want.

According to this medium findings, the calculation is this, if the APC Zone its governorship candidate to Nasarawa North, automatically the Deputy Governor come from Nasarawa South, then the Speaker of the State House of Assembly will then come from Keffi Zone which is the Nasarawa West where he comes and should he win the election he will automatically become the Speaker of the House.

But the people of Keffi who spoke with this medium have stated that they will not allow him to become a lawmaker representing them at the State Assembly.
