The Senator representing Plateau south senatorial zone, General Jeremiah Timbut Useni has called on the general public to disregard a, “fictitious,” report that he has provided food items for Christmas and New Year at affordable price.
Speaking through a press statement made available to our correspondent on Friday in Jos , the senator debunked the purported report, as he lamented that he had never issued such an order to the general public by calling on people to disregard it as rumour.
The media assistant Hon. A. Yusuf Abubakar, said; “My attention has been drawn to the acts of some fraudsters that have gone virile using the platform of the social media and defrauding innocent people that the I have provided food stuff at a subsidized rate, that any interested person should pay a certain amount into an Account Number given by them.
“Senator Useni said in that regards, he wish to notify and also inform the general public that such an act is fictitious and as such act been carried out by some undesirable elements whose intent was to cause harm to the general public and further tarnish his reputation, “through dubious and mischievous means.””I wish to alert the general public that it is totally false and there is nothing like that going on,” he added.
Senator Useni stressed that he has his own ways of meeting and reaching out to his people if there is anything of that Nature.”I therefore urged the general public to disregard the information, while cautioning that who so ever ventures into depositing his money for that purpose, does it at his/her own risk,” he warned.
