Rector IMAP Allegedly Contravened Executive Approval, Employed Additional 113 Staff

There was the lease of new breeze within the atmosphere of the Isa Mustaphs Agwai 1 Polytechnic Lafia, following the constitution of a visitation panel set up by the visitor of IMAP, Engineer Abdullahi Sule on Thursday as aggrieved staff were thrown into Jubilation over the development.

According to available information, The embattled Rector, Dr.Justina Anjiode Kotso contravened the approval of the State Governor, Abdullahi Sule by employing 300 staff as against the 197 staff benchmark.

A staff who pleaded anonymity said the recent screening exercise was in connection to the dark cloud hovering in the school.

This indicates that Kotso single-handedly employed 300 staff inclusive of security personnel,

The worst aspect of the new employment was the embattled Rector accorded premise to the employment of more unacademic staff, which was contrary to advertorial positions.

The 113 additional staff employed by the embattled Rector is not the authentic number of the newly employed.

The State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule on  Wednesday constituted a visitation panel to look into the activities of the Polytechnic under the headhip of the Rector. for a period of three years in office.
