Re: Mr. Joseph Ari Appointment As DG ITF, Right The Wrong Mr. President

The attention of the membership of the All Peoples Congress (APC) in Kwande Ward and Quaan – Pan Local Government Area of Plateau has been drawn to a Petition and subsequent  publication of same, credited to some faceless individuals who go by the names of Hon.  Joseph Ajang Azi, Hon.. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim and four others, under the auspices of APC Right Group on the appointment of Mr Joseph Ari as the Director General of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF)

In the said petition, they alleged that Mr. Ari did not work for the APC in the last election. That, to us is a figment of their imaginations, as no one is more capable of identifying who worked for the party or not, than the leadership of the APC in Kwande Ward and Quaan – Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Apart from working assiduously to ensure the success of the Party at both the Ward and LGA levels, Mr Ari’s contributions can only be faulty by non APC members, who now want to reap where they did not sow. For the avoidance of doubt, Mr. Joseph Ari was the APC Chairman on Security during the campaigns, and when Governor Lalong took over the mantle of leadership in Plateau State, he served as the Chairman of the Transition Committee on Policy, Media, and the ITC. These assignments he diligently carried out to the applause of everybody within the APC.

If actually these petitioners were in APC, they would have known the mind set of Mr. President by now. President Buhari is a man who believes in merits as against any sentiments as the petitioners want to portray. The insinuation that equity was neglected is only to deceive the people, because we know that those behind the petition are from the same zone with Mr. Ari, whose ambition to get the plumb job failed because of their track records.

May we state here, and without any fear of contradictions that the people should have eminent confidence in Mr. Ari, because we are of the conviction that he is the right man to deliver on the job. Our confidence and conviction is built on his well-known pedigree and track records in public service. We are aware that he served the state diligently and faithfully as the Director of Press Affairs (DOPA) during Governors Tapgun and Mana’s regimes, General Manager (GM) of Plateau Publishing Company (PPC) and Plateau Radio and Television Corporation (PRTVC); and as Permanent Secretary Government House Administration.

It is on record too, that Mr. Joseph Ari positively changed the face of the Industrial Training Fund, ITF, when he served as Deputy Director and Director of many departments of the organization. With these impressive records, we have no doubts in our minds that Mr Ari will positively reposition the ITF to serve its mandate faithfully to the people of Nigeria in line with the Change Mantra of the present Administration.

May we at this point commend President Muhammadu Buhari for his foresight in appointing not only a person from Quaan–Pan LGA and Plateau State, but a worthy Nigerian, whose track record of service is a source of inspiration and pride to all?

We wish to inform Mr President that the said group is not known to the APC in the State, but an outfit created to create confusion, deceive the people and heat up the polity.

We pray that God will guide Mr. Joseph Ari to repeat the GOOD WORK HE IS KNOWN FOR.
