Pwul Admonishes PDP Supporters To Be Calm,” We Are Bound To See Conflicting Judgments Now “.

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, Chief Garba Paul has admonished Plateau supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to remain calm as the Election Tribunal panel sitting in the state is bound to make a series of judgment errors which might be corrected at the Appeal Court to pave ways for credible elections winner to emerge.

He expressed optimism that with what has happened no cause for alarm for having conflicting judgements from two different panels sitting at the same court premises, particularly at this preliminary stage of the matter.

Pwul called on the people of Plateau supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the state that there is no cause for alarm and that we shouldn’t worry our minds over the recent conflicting dishing out judgment Election Petition Tribunal judgments which annulled the 2023 National Assembly election some of it, members.

According to him, “It’s good for the legal boys to make mistakes at this stage of the Election Petition Tribunal, which is mandatory and will be corrected at the appellate court.

Adding at this stage this is exclusively reserved for legal men who will look carefully into the mistakes of the boys at the lower court where they review and effect corrections, he explained.

Pwul made this disclosure at the opening ceremony to mark the 2023/24 New Legal Year held at the New Plateau High Court Complex on 15th September 2023.

He assured that the matter will definitely be legally harmonized when the matter gets to apex, at the end of the day, there would be uniform judgments.

Therefore, allow the junior ones to make mistakes as it’s alleged to be playing out now, and the senior ones will correct them when it gets to the top (appellate court).

He urged stakeholders to caution their supporters to order and maintain the status quo and avoid anything that is capable of plunging the state into chaos which may not be the benefit of anyone.

Chief Pwul who has been silent since his sojourned to the political land in the 2023 general election said the period of politics is over.

“The days of politics are over, we only make noise in politics, but in legal practice, we don’t make noise “.

On his assessment of the infrastructural development in the state, the legal luminary said, that though not much has been achieved from infrastructural development in the state, but stressed that there is hope that the government will double efforts to bring development closer to all plateau citizens to enjoy the dividends of democracy.
