Public Complaints Commission Commissioner Says Lean Resources Reason For Not Handling Many Cases

The Commissioner Public Complaints Commission ,Plateau state ,Alh Abdullahi Musa Nyalun (Danburan ,Nyalun) has said a total of 533 cases have been reported for the 2016/2017 fiscal year record of achievement in Plateau .

In an interactive session with journalists in Jos, Nyalun told journalists that 522 cases were transferred from 2016, while from June to July 191 cases were received and the commission resolved 95.

He reiterated that the 2016/2017 years witnessed significant development in spite of the challenges faced by the office in the area of scarcity of resources.

Alh Nyalun said,”it is the privilege of the office to have been able to put smiles on the faces of many members of the public that had cause to interact with and not all cases investigated were always resolved in favour of the complainants.

According to him, the joy of it all was that investigations usually resulted in creating more understanding for the complainants and greater appreciation by the employers of the complaints situation.

He said what the office of the complaints was able to achieve in the years under review would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of its staff, whose expertise and determination still thrived despite the challenges.

Alh Musa Nyalun stressed that the relationship between the Plateau state office of the commission and the meeting of head of federal establishments has continued to grow stronger.

Adding the commission has in no little way utilized the opportunity to sensitized heads address some of the challenges which brought the commission into more limelight in the corridor of most federal establishment.

“There was an enlightenment outreach to educate employers of the public and private sector in Jos south zonal office and the program drew participants from Riyom, Jos South LGAs.

The Hon .Commissioner, Alh Musa Abdullahi Nyalun was presented with the award of global forum for Peace, Justice and human rights for his positive contributions to humanity.

The Director of investigation, Mr MG Suwa express commitment of the public complaint commission on the plateau pending cases for 2016 were added to fresh ones.

A contractor for a school provided with sanitary facilities case in Longwa primary school is a public school in Jos city ,and the commission observed that there was no provision for sanitary were the pupils littering the environment with their farces by endangering the health of neighborhood ,he added.
