The President and Founder of Maryam Abacha American University and Franco-British University, Kaduna, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has awarded scholarships to 124 students of MAAUN to study Nursing at the Masters level.
The beneficiaries were among the students who sat for the 2020 professional Examination for General Nurses and came out with flying colors.
Prof. Gwarzo announced the award of the scholarship at a dinner on Wednesday in Abuja organized by the students to celebrate the successes they recorded during the examination.
In his remarks as the Special Guest of honour, Prof. Abubakar Gwarzo said the decision to grant them the scholarship to further their studies was based on the success they recorded in the professional examination.
He expressed gratitude to the students as they have made Maryam Abacha American University proud for their outstanding performance in the examination.
“So, I am happy to grant scholarship to each of the 124 students to study nursing at the Masters level as part of an effort to strengthen your efforts and encourage you in your studies,” Prof. Gwarzo said.
He advised the students to always be patient and assist the less privileged in the society as well as be good ambassadors of their alma mater wherever they might find themselves.
The Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria had on Tuesday, 3rd August 2021 inaugurated the 294 students who were successful in the professional examination out of which 124 graduated from the Maryam Abacha American University of Niger.
