The newly appointed directors in the  ministry of finance  Plateau state who were recently deployed by Governor Simon Bako Lalong have demonstrated  high level of incompetence at the judicial commission of inquiry to probe the government of the  former governor Jonah David Jang eight years tenure.

Universalreporters247.com learnt that the directors have not been professional in handling financial dealings of government when invited to provide vital documents of the immediate past government before the commission.

The chairman of the commission, Hon Justice Stephen Adah urged the directors of five ministries, parastatals and agencies to furnish them   with all the available documents of the government PDP led administration.

In what appears as ignorance or display of nonsense attributed to the director of planning, account, and research were all dancing round the floor of witness during the proceedings.

The prosecuting counsel also demanded more explanation and clarification on the 220 billion naira federal government disbursement strategy on micro small, medium enterprises funds.

Justice Adah expressed sadness that some of reports gotten are not encouraging from some of the agencies and is not ready to produce all the necessary 10 plates’ performance which is publicly pronounced on Radio, Television and National dailies.

He noted that they refused compliance especially those ministries, agencies and the parastatals of government they kept giving complaints because some of the documents are still coming in spite of warning earlier issued within 3 months framework.

The commission chairman warned that from now henceforth, there will be no further extensions of time so nobody would be allow in these ministries, we are ready to foist ahead and not ready to tolerate any filthy delay tactics, he added.

A Director, Mr Isaac Mara was requested to submit some documents on financial transaction, allocation, monetary intervention, revenue accrued through agencies and loan obtain to know whether that money was properly used.

The Director of Finance ,Mrs Mary Bawa gave two conflicting statement that the ministry operate two bank accounts ,zenith and sterling banks with permanent secretary and DFS as signatory even as she said she doesn’t  know the number of banks .

It was gathered that during the cross examination , the government maintained a Zenith bank account with 7 different accounts ,Bank PHB one, sterling bank one account  but Mrs Bawa claimed she was not aware of the existing banks and documents mark exhibit A,B that were served by Barr. Joshua John to their client Barr. Sunday Oyawale Esq.

This medium learnt that Plateau state government has promoted incompetent directors who were unable to present simple account details of single ministry but the officials of the banks confirmed six.

However, this is a clear thought of many political analysts that with this scrub of directors in the state ministries, governor Lalong need extra work to trace the financial loots and misappropriation involving irregularities while some of the documents were marked as exhibits.

The action revealed that most directors have lost their bearing to identify the frauds committed by the former governor Jonah David Jang.

In memo ,No 2 in  the office of Accountant general of plateau state ,Mr Tsenyil Cyril said the office supply all the needed documents inside Ghana must go bags and rearranged the bank statement that was mixed up which showed  salary figure under period of months as well as the list of staff and their respective ministries .
