Principal Of Federal Science Technical College Doma In N100 Million Fraud

The Principal of Federal Science Technical College Doma, in Nasarawa State, Mr. Chime M.O last Friday met his Waterloo as staff and parents raised alarm over the way and manner he runs the affairs of the school.

The Principal who has been under tensed pressure convened a marathon meeting last week, all in a bid to save himself from the impending doom.

Some of the staff who spoke on condition of anonymity expressed shocked over how Mr. Chime handles the finance of the College as if it is his personal fund; the staffs also identified there has been bad leadership, marginalization, complexity in the affairs of Parents Teachers’ Association by the principal.

Impeccable source disclose to this reporter that between has received an average of N100 million in the last eight month. According to the source, the Principal receives between N12 Million to N16 Million monthly as subventions and overhead which is to be used for the upkeep of the school as well to settle outstanding payment of staff who were laid off and other miscellaneous activities of the college.

According to the source as it stands, there has not been any financial statement on how he spent monthly subvention given to him by the Federal Government. It is gathered that he has spent over eight months in the school as a Principal since taking over.

Some parents decried the hike in school fee without given reasonable details of the increase by the current principal who was accused of high-handedness as well taken unilateral decision without consulting the PTA .

The principal when contacted at his office to comment over the financial misappropriation pleaded with the Journalists to visit the school on Monday for clarification.
“Because of the respect I have for the Journalists made me to jettison our meeting to attend to you, I would plead with you to come back on Monday when I will have precise detail for your consumption,” the principal added.

At the time of filling in this report, an insider revealed that the Principal having seen that he may not escape the issue facing him pleaded to pay back the money instalmentally. However this medium learnt that the same Principal had previously refused the offer to pay back the money he embezzled before the gory situation ensued.

It was gathered that the late Principal has been paying the huge debt instrumentally before his untimely death.

Both staff and Parents described Mr. Chime as the worst Principal the school ever had since the establishment of the school. One of the parent expressed concern over non-issuance of result to student as a major issue.
