Presidency Not Against The Use Of Hijab

President Muhammadu Bahari has said the federal Government did not in totality ban the use of Hijab by women in the country, The president stated this while declaring close the 30th National Quranic Recitation Competition held in Lafia, The Nasarawa state capital, The minister of education, Mal.Adamu Adamu who represent the president at the grand finale said the presidency would ensure that the decency of women was maintained.

Muhammadu Buhari said the restriction of Hijab would only be effective in states on the risk of Boko Haram in order to protect and prevent the death of its citizenry through the activities of insurgents hiding under the guise of veil or/Hijab to detonate improvised and explosive devices, Saying the Federal Government will continue to ensure that his office work is in conformity with of laid down Islamic principles.

He called on Muslim Ummah to see the Quran as a book of guidance at all times, Saying the society most embrace and attached the teachings of Islam and it’s central message, discipline ,moral conduct and mutual respect  to their daily life ,Muhammadu Buhari congratulate the participants and organizers of the 30th National Quranic Recitation Competition.

Wishing Nigerian representatives at the international competition at Saudi Arabia a successful outing, Adding that participants makes the nation proud, The president while reacting to the request made by the Sultan of Sokoto and chairman, supreme council for Islamic Affairs, Dr.Sa’ad Abubakar calling on the led-administration to reintroduces religious studies into the nations curriculum.

The president who granted the request affirmed that not only religious studies but also the introduction of history and Local history into our school! Curriculum would be in earnest.

Also speaking, His eminence, The Sultan of Sokoto called leaders at the behest of affairs to stand for the truth and uphold Justice, He also appealed to Nigerians to pray for leaders instead of cursing them, Saying cursing them if they go wrong has greater consequences to the nation.

Sultan called for attitudinal change amongst Nigerians, “We should preach peace not division,Calling on Nigerians to be patient over the report of the recent ban of Hijab in public places,”No decision has been taken yet over the banning of hijab by the president.

Sa’ad Abubakar commended the centre for Islamic studies,Uthman Dan Fodio University,Sokoto for organizing the annual Quranic recitation,He applauded the Nasarawa state Governor for been hospitable as well the Local Organizing committee for the success of the exercise.

The Nasarawa state Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura expressed displeasure over the rising spate of insurgency in the North-East zone of the country,Saying insurgency is anti-Islam .Adding that Boko Haram insurgents carryout destruction of lives of the people in the guise of islam but because lack of knowledge of the Quran . The Governor donated a brand new car to the overall winner of the competition ,Umar Adam, while consolation  prizes were given to winners and participants of the competition.
