Presents Gung Zaar Staff Of Office To Air Commodore Ishaku Komo (Rtd)-Says Concerned Citizen John Rica

A concerned Zaar son, John Rica has charged Bauchi State governor Bala Mohammed to present to Air Commodore Ishaku Komo retired, staff of office as Gung Zaar of Zaar kingdom.

Rica who noted that the installation of the Gung Zaar is long overdue referred the Bauchi State governor to the judicial report and other committee reports made to the previous State administration.

He added that installing the Gung Zaar will be in compliance with the recommendation of the committees set up by previous State governors and the Federal government.

He reminded Sen. Bala Mohammed that before assuming office as State governor the issue of Zaar chiefdom was officially pending,  for it was previously handled by his predecessors without conclusion.

He noted that, before then, a law was created on Zaar chiefdom during Gov. Isa Yuguda in 2011, in which some of its provisions were challenged in the Court of law, especially on the chiefdom’s headquarters and its borders.

Rica observe that “Zaar people contributed their 90% to ensure your emergence as the governor of Bauchi State in April 2019. Despite all attempts by the governor who was an incumbent governor, we did our best to deliver our block votes to insure Senator Bala Mohammed is elected as Bauchi State governor”.

” It would be recalled that senator Bala’s victory was sealed in Bauchi state during the “conclusive” election held in Tafawa Balewa in April 2019. It was on this occasion that Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa women coined a song titled “Bauchi ta Kaura ce… ” In praise of your electoral victory.

He told the governor that since his election as governor in 2019, he had not taken concrete action on installing Gung Zaar as the Paramount ruler of the Zaar kingdom.

A committee was set up by the governor, to study previous judicial and other committee reports on the Zaar chiefdom but up to date, nothing has been heard about the governor’s committee. This a development that the Zaar People are not comfortable with, and are appealing to the governor to expedite action on the Zaar chiefdom.

According to Rika, the Gung Zaar elect when installed will always settle the minor crisis peacefully within his power as the Paramount ruler of his people, without reference to the governor or any court of law.
