A pregnant woman, Ndidi Nwankwo has been beaten to death by her husband, the Enugu State Police Command, who arrested the Man; Mr.Ozoemena Nwankwo said that incident happened on October 17, around 10 pm at the man’s abode which is situated at Akpawfu village, Nkanu East Local Government area of Enugu State.
Speaking further, Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, said that Nwankwo is known as a wife beater who is also a never-ending wife beater, in this case, beats up Ndidi who was four months pregnant until she became lifeless and that the woman got wounded in her right leg during the beating by the husband.
However, upon taking her to hospital, the said Ndidi died, as her corpse has been kept at the Agbani General Hospital, in Nkanu West Local Government Area, even as the said husband remains under the police net as the police are still carrying out investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile the Police, PRO have said that he regrets his action as he never expected that the wife will die from the beating.
