The Federal House of Representatives member representing Okigwe North Federal Constituency at the National Assembly under the political platform of PDP,Hon.Obinna Onwubuariri, who is also the party’s candidate for 2019 general elections, has condemned the authority and leadership under the National Chairman,Alhaji Mamodu Yakubu for their decision on the postponement of the election exercise formerly slated for Saturday,Feb.16th 2019.
Hon.Onwubuariri, who is of the PDP extraction in his words of condemnation statement accused APC,INEC and the office of the Presidency of trying to manipulate and rig the whole election exercise.
The 2019 Imo PDP candidate for Okigwe North Reps.Seat,Onwubuariri, who is also the incumbent reps.member, said “Nigeria at this level have gone beyond that pattern of announcement by the INEC Chairman,Yakubu. That means the N242billion budgeted for the election is allegedly not enough. Both Mr.President and INEC are sick and as such they (INEC) can not guarantee free, fair and credible polls in Nigeria. They should be investigated. They should explain to Nigerians why they were unable to conduct elections”,he lamented.
Hon.Onwubuariri therefore described the postponement as a very huge disappointment to Nigerians even as he tagged it as electrol sabotage sponsored by APC and the Presidential office against the general interest of the masses.
The lawmaker,Hon.Obinna, who is representing Isiala-Mbano,Onuimo and Okigwe at the National Assembly, said “PDP under his people’s mandate was ready and prepared to win the election that was officially fixed for Feb.16th 2019. My people loves me so much and they all turn out enmass to re-elect me but unfortunately the whole exercise was shifted. I have appealed to them to go home, have patience and fortify their electrol spirit to vote in PDP into power and vote out APC”.
“My people to you people is that I shall call for the investigation of INEC as soon as the National Assembly resumes plenary”,he assured.
Hon.Onwubuariri however encouraged all his political supporters, members of PDP and those who believed in his leadership capacity to remain focus and always get ready to vote for PDP,come Feb.23rd 2019,for the election.
