Police Quizzed Nasarawa Local Government PDP Chairman For Defrauding Sen. Sodangi Of N7 Million By Rabiu Omaku, Lafia
The Criminal Investigation Department today paraded the Nasarawa Local Government PDP chairman for defrauding Senator Abubakar Sodangi of N7 million.
The Chairman Isa Ekpa was given a cash of N7 million by the former Senator who sought for re-election in the recently concluded PDP primaries to represent Nasarawa West Senatorial Zone.
It will be recalled that the erstwhile Senator lost his third fourth term bid in 2011 to the former governor of the and the current Senator Abdullahi Adamu representing Nasarawa West at the National Assembly.
It was gathered that Sodangi gave out the N7 million to Isa Ekpa in a bid to lure party delegates against his opponent, Aliyu Wadada who finally clinched the party ticket with a landslide victory, it was learnt that the party chairman PDP Nasarawa Local Government met his Waterloo after the declaration of Wadada as the winner.
Isa Ekpa had since been bailed by his lawyer, Barrister Abdullahi Ubandoma Abdullahi and he is expected to return to the Criminal Investigation Department on Monday for further questions.
