The Jigawa Police in Jahun said it received a report that one Muhammadu Sani ” aged 12yrs of Damutawa village, Jahun LGA while playing with one Habiba Junaidu ‘F’ aged 15yrs of the same address at his uncle’s house whose name is Alhassan Zubairu and aged 50 years, and of the same address, took his uncle’s Den gun, which was already loaded, and kept by his uncle, and shut her on her back and as a result of that, she died instantly.
On receipt of this information, the police rushed to the scene and arrested the suspect and also recovered Den, while the victim was rushed to Jahun General Hospital where she was confirmed dead by a medical doctor.
The Police said the case is still under investigation at the police headquarters in Dutse.
In a similar case, the village head of YANKWASHI reported one Habu Sani aged 20 and Badaru Muhd also aged 20 all from Yankwashi village for allegedly conspiring to kill one Bashir Muhammed who is 18 years old and from Karkarna Village.
’While the victim is still down as a result of the injuries he sustained on his body, the police arrested one among the suspects while the two other suspects ran away.
The victim was taken for treatment at Kazaure General Hospital but was later referred to General Amadi Specialist Hospital in Katsina, where he died.
The police said an investigation is ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects.
