Police in Jigawa State have arrested a man who stabbed his wife to death in Rubunji village of Babura local govt area of Jigawa state.
The police said they arrested,Abdulmumini Abdullahi 35 years of age from Makadi village who was allegedly killed his wife with a sharp knife shortly after ambushing the wife along her way to her family house in Rubunji village of the same local government.
The suspect killed his wife Sahura Sule by stabbing her with a knife on her stomach and injured her at her right elbow before she died after she sustained serious injuries on her body.
The police spokesman ASP Lawan Shisu has confirmed the story, adding that the police in Babura have already visited the scene and the body was released to the family for burial according to Islamic jurisdiction.
