Plateau Youths have threatened a showdown with the management of Jos Electricity Distribution company Ltd as it called on the Federal Government as  a matter of urgency reverse the selling of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria to a private firm .

The youth leader complained that they never enjoy small scale businesses in the state under the Jos Electricity Distribution company Ltd since the privatization came on board.

Many families have resorted to the use of generators popularly called” I pass my neighbor” to hear news and power their home appliances.

According to a statement issued by the youth leader, they said that, Jos Electricity Distribution Company always  embarks on indiscriminate disconnection of service wires inspite of lack of  electricity supply to its  residents.

A group of concern residents raised alarm that the management  JEDCO should be sincere with their words and recalled back the sacked staffs to avoid  sharp practices going on reducing.

The management made a mandatory disconnection of houses of many residents, including those who have meters and are prompt in payments.

“We are calling President Muhammadu Buhari to address the problem of power instability facing the country to attract investors and income to the country”.

They cautioned against assaulting residents of Jos by advising the management to employ capable men with integrity in charge of bills distribution .
