The Chairman Plateau United Football Team who is currently on top of Nigerian league, Mr Longbap Wuyep has expressed optimism that the team will win the 2017 with the quality of players on ground.
In an interview with, Wuyep at the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Plateau State Council on Tuesday.
He stressed that so far so good the team had never lost any of its points which all the point count a lot to the teeming supporters this year league.
Mr. Longbap Wuyep said with the remaining one match ahead of the team, we are rest assure and to be convince they match go ahead to defeat mountain of fire ministry (MFM), respectively.
According to him, “it is a victory that is destined for Plateau united, I want to say here clearly that we are going to win the tournament as we represent the highest peak of this year Continental competition” .
The chairman explained that if the team wins this year league, we are not going for Christmas celebration there but to maintain our victory and ensure that our status quo of remaining in the intercontinental matches will be relevant.
He promised that the team will be reorganize to adequately represent Nigeria were new players will brought in who have skills and standard ,we cannot be allow to go there by showcasing our present only but to create impact .
Wuyep disclosed that the Plateau united is set to embark on fresh recruitment of young players towards improving the standard of training and retraining to win troupe.
He commended the Governor Simon Bako Lalong of the rescue ambassador for finding conducive atmosphere for the team to forge ahead.
Plateau united Chairman reiterated that the New Zaria road stadium will soon be commission for the team to commence intercontinental matches which he promise as part of his campaign .
The Nigeria Football Association, NFA , also gave them assurance of assisting with the provision sporting facilities that can improve the training .
Also commending, John Barry has assured of the team winning the league owning to the fact that solid foundation had been concluded for players.
We are going to wards and local governments to mobilize supporters to come and cheer the team during the last March at the Rwang Pam Stadium.
