Plateau State University Bokkos Warns Students On Exam Malpractice

The Acting Vice Chancellor of Plateau State University (PLASU) Bokkos, Professor Shedrack Best, has warned sternly against examination malpractice, reiterating his administration’s unwavering commitment to upholding academic integrity. The Vice-Chancellor made his stance clear during an unscheduled tour of the examination halls where students were engaged in their sessional examinations.

Professor Best emphasized that students who diligently prepare for their exams have no need to resort to unethical practices. He cautioned that the university would not hesitate to apply stringent punitive measures against anyone found engaging in any form of cheating.

Represented by  the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration, Associate Professor Keziah Ayuba, Professor Best’s expressed satisfaction with the peaceful and orderly conduct of the students as the examination is ongoing . He assured the students that the university administration is actively working to create and maintain a conducive learning environment for both students and staff.

 Professor Best reminded the students of the significant investments their parents have made in their education, urging them to take their studies seriously and prepare themselves for a successful future. He emphasized that academic honesty is not only a matter of personal integrity but also a reflection of respect for their families’ sacrifices.

The tour, which started from the Faculty of Law to the Faculty of Social Sciences, revealed a calm and focused atmosphere in the examination halls. Students were observed diligently writing their exams, adhering to the university’s regulations and demonstrating a commitment to academic excellence.

The Acting Vice Chancellor’s strong stance against examination malpractice underscores the university’s dedication to maintaining high academic standards and fostering a culture of integrity. The peaceful conduct of the students during the examinations is a testament to their commitment to academic honesty and their respect for the university’s regulations.
