The Senatorial Aspirant for Plateau Southern Zone of the All Progressive Congress APC, and chairman Nigerian Labour Congress, Plateau state Chapter, Comrade Jibrin Kamga Bancir has disclosed that All Progressive Congress, APC, which I participated in was full of irregularities but I thanked God the exercise has come and gone.
He said the party primaries were marred by irregularities and imposition of candidates during the exercise.
Bancir disclosed this in an interview with some journalists at the NUJ, Plateau state council while reacting to the just concluded senatorial primaries in six Local Government areas of Plateau state.
According to him, I thanked God for giving me the opportunity to contest this forthcoming general election but I made up my mind then that leadership comes from God.
He added, “I have made up my mind to either lose or win. I know that there are so many irregularities that happened that very day, the politics of southern is so different with interest and you know politics is dynamic, it is on my ability to accept the outcome”.
We need to have a fundamental framework to manage the outcome of the primaries, if I was the one I will be in the mood of celebration, while other will be mourning, it is necessary for us to immediately followed, put a mechanism in place, some might be shifting blame.
However, he debunked that Governor Simon Lalong didn’t compensate any of the aspirants who contested for the primaries and lost under the APC, they’re only accusing the Governor of giving them peanuts.
Comrade Jibrin Bancir chided the statement that the dinner with Governor Simon Lalong to the best of his knowledge was not compensation but to have interface towards strengthening the APC in Plateau state.
