The Senator representing Plateau North Federal at the National Assembly, Senator I.D Gyang has employed youth in Nigeria to engage themselves in useful activities especially football as the only panacea to end internal conflict, diversity, and Plurality.
He made this disclosure at Rwang Pam stadium venue of peace reconciliation tournament in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state.
Senator Gyang says, through constructive engagement, not only profit-making venture turned ethnic and religious diversity Into assets and in the process transform Plateau state to overcoming adversity, animosity with hatred amongst all.
The” Plateau North Peace, Unity and reconciliation Football Tournament “ is aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence amongst ethnic nationalities in the state.
Gyang said the vision that gives birth to the tournament is embedded in his campaign manifesto of prioritizing the building of peace and the return of harmonious Coexistences in Plateau North that has been fractured by so much division.
He maintained that the tournament is a platform to showcase talents hitherto unnoticed and the government over years neglected grassroots sports development to engage the local football development.
Sen.Gyang disclosed that football tournaments help our youth to discover their God given potentials and prepare, equip them to become future stars in professional both local and international sporting activities.
