Plateau SAN, Pwul Declares Interest To Contest For 2023 Governorship Election, Promises To Consolidate On Jang, Dariye Achievements Of Rebuilding Plateau

Chief Garba S. Pwul (SAN) the Makaman Kanam , Sardauna Mwaghavul , Turakin Mangu has said what attracted into politics of Plateau State is to continue with the good legacy of the former Governor Joshua Dariye and Former Governor, Sen. Jonah David Jang to revamp the lost glory of the state in education, agricultural sector, health and sporting activities that our people are known for over the years.

 

 

A renowned Lawyer and the Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN told Judicial Correspondents on Tuesday that the decision to vie for the race was borne out of the calls from well-meaning Plateau People and his well-wishers who believe in his ideologies to come out and rescue the state.

 

 

Garba Pwul, SAN has finally opened up on his desire to gun for the seat of the plateau governorship race in the forthcoming elections.

 

 

The legal luminary who did not disclose the platform for which he shall pick his ticket says having favored by the zoning arrangements, he has heeded to the calls, and will soon role out his template for the state, hinting that, he is very much aware of the challenges the state is begging for attention.

 

 

According to him, if elected as the governor of Plateau state he will use his wealth of experience to redesign the state and bring it back to the lost glory as of the ‘Home of Peace and Tourism’, and make it the most peaceful state in the country.

 

Adding that” I will consolidate on the achievements of governor Dariye and governor Jang, starting from 1999, and build it to them later.

 

“I will pay particular attention to the development of agriculture sector, because, this State is endowed with good weather, and there is no crop that does not grow here”.

 

Adding that, the educational sector and judicial arm of government will be given topmost priority.

 

“As an experienced person, I will make sure that we return education back to its rightful place, and when these are done, other good things will follow.

 

“On the Judiciary, as an arm of government, we will ensure that they are independent, and the welfare of judges is improved so that they will carry out their responsibilities without any interference, by so doing, citizens will expect nothing, but justice”.

 

Pwul disclosed that his passion for joining politics was to deliver people-oriented projects and programs that can impact positively in the lives of commoners to ripe the dividends of democracy.

 

He said I want to start from the 1999 legacy of Dariye and Jang in the area of infrastructural continuity.
