Plateau State Police command yesterday debunked reports published in some online media that the Police has declared wanted a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Mr Dung Tari of Vwang Village of Jos South Local Government of Plateau State.

‪The Plateau State Police Public Relations officer DSP Abu Emmanuel while Speaking in Jos said the Police command has not issued any statement declaring anybody wanted as a result of the PDP congresses in the state.

‪The Media had wrongly reported that Mr Dung Tari was declared wanted by the Police in the state following violence that erupted at the PDP ward congresses at Vwang Vom.

‪DSP Emmanuel said the command has not received any violence report as a result of the violence and condemn sponsoring reports that will create violence, saying the Police will not tolerate any act of lawlessness in the state and warn Politicians against violence.

‪”I want to categorically state that i’m not aware of any statement declaring a member of the PDP wanted in the state and nothing as such has happened in the state”.

“You would recalled that the PDP ward Congresses conducted last Saturday in Plateau State was peaceful without violence.

‪However the supporters of the two contenders of the chairmanship Position of the PDP in the state former Minister of Sports Hon. Damishi Sango and  former Member House of the Representatives Hon. Bitrus Kaze are seriously campaigning for their masters to win the seat.
