Plateau Pensioners Get New Exco To Run The Affairs Of The Association

The Plateau state chapter of the Nigeria Union of Pensioners has elected Mr. Maurice Daboer as the Chairman of the association with a called on members to remain committed to the guidelines.

In his acceptance speech he commended Governor Simon Bako Lalong for prompt payment of workers salary and arrears including Pensioners in the state.

Mr Daboer who gave this commendation after taking his oath of office, stressed the need for federal and state government to focus on prompt salary.

The exercise that witness large turnout of retirees across the state  were  Maurice Daboer a retired civil servant with the  Ministry of commerce and  Industry was elected the Chairman, Josiah Akwai Vice Chairman, Hajia Salamatu Gambo Treasurer, Danladi Abari Auditor, Bulus Izang Trustee 1 and James Adamu Trustee 11.

He thanked all pensioners in Plateau State for the confidence reposed in him and promised to pursue the issue of their welfare vigorously. He believes if retirees are treated well in terms of constant payment of pensions and gratuity, they will live well and longer.

Mr Daboer appreciated Governor Simon for his good efforts in prompt payment of monthly so far and restoration peace in the state.

He promised to carry every Pensioner along in discharging his duty and responsibilities toward the wellbeing of members.
