Plateau /Nasarawa Business management school cries to federal govt for help

The  first Proprietor of Mata Amablised organization of Nigeria ,Plateau school of Business Management Studies ,Plateau High school Jos ,Beethoven College Jos (Shendam Decency Private school Jos,Chief  training centre in Plateau Alpheus Chinedu Okafor  has called for partnerships that would address the issues that will influence the school survival in the North-central Nigeria.

He said that in spite of the federal government agenda of diversifying the country dwindling economy, the attention of federal and state governments and the old boys is needed for the revamping of the school from its deplorable state in order compliment President Muhammadu Buhari agenda of  engaging youth on vocational training skills.

Okafor stated that the project would provide large scale employment to indigenous engineers, craftsmen, artisans, businessmen, which will help to curb unemployment among army of youths as well as tackle restiveness.

He said the school which was established way back in 1973 has trained many Nigerians on business and secretarial studies, how to handle office procedure and develop their administrative career training in government in collaboration with European experience in small scale industrial development that will benefit North central and Nigeria as a whole.

There are many beneficiaries of this training across the global and most of them are doing very well in their field, he described the abandoned edifice that has become a habitation for rodents and reptiles as unfortunate to the economy of the country.

Okafor appealed to graduates of the school in Rafin Pa (Laranto) in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state to come to the rescue of the school.

Speaking on the challenges of the school ,he  expressed regret that since the 2001 crisis which broke up  no single Christian youths are allow to  attend the school again because they are mostly  afraid of being attack around  the area which is prune violence.

He added that the aim of establishing the school in 1973 was after his training in Europe that he came back to Nigeria with some white men and set up the school here in Jos with the sole purpose of bridging the wide gap between the privileged and less privileged ones in the society.

The Europeans who came with me made ensure that youths whose parents cannot afford to send them to school and are very intelligent were given the opportunity because there were so many unemployed youths in the country that needed skills acquisition to equip them through vocational skill training centre so as to be productive members of their community.

Okafor stressed that the intention of providing youth with vocational skills in business and secretariat administration gave birth to building of quality  training and equipping it with many undergraduates .

He lamented that the problem which affected the entire progress of the school was the Jos crisis.

The Nnewi born business man begged Old Boys of Plateau Business Management School, federal and state government to ensure that school bounce back and also assist the people of north-central Nigeria in area of job creation.

Mr Okafor has decried that school which had branches in all the 17 local governments of Plateau need government urgent attention to reduce over depending on.

The big question is where the old boys are and what are their plans to revolutionize decaying school?

He said the school administration made it a policy that professionals were employed to acquire  vocational skills and add value to the state civil service and this has paved the way for true professionalism in the service of Nigeria in the 80s.

Okafor reiterated that “Little” contributions have taken a swipe in late Chief Solomon Daushep Lar administration in the state for what he described as “increase in infrastructural decay and poverty after military intervention in politics”.

“I challenge the present government to come forward and invest in vocational training of youths also tell the Plateau people take advantage of their program developed their knowledge”, he explained.
