The Commissioner for Land, Survey and Town Planning, Hon Yakubu Dati has warned those unscrupulous land grabbers issuing out land titles to stop the secret deal before the hand of law would catch up with them.
In a press statement made available to our medium by Mrs Yop Pam the information officer of the ministry, Dati warned against land grabbers.
He said, attention of the Ministry of Land, Survey and Town Planning has been drawn to the activities of some unscrupulous land grabbers going round town with the intent of swindling unsuspecting members of the public promising them allocation of government land on road setbacks.
Dati said the Ministry makes it categorically clear that the state government having duly compensated for such lands has not permitted anyone to do such on its behalf.
He noted that the public is hereby strongly advised not to entertain such deceits, please.
Anyone who transacts business with unauthorized persons on behalf of the Plateau State Ministry of Lands and Surgery does so at his or her own.
The commissioner vowed that the state Government will prosecute any impostor when apprehended.
