The Plateau State Chairman of the Labour Party ,(LP) ,Hon. Grace Zamfara has called on the electorate to support the candidacy of the Plateau Northern Senatorial District, Barr.Gyang Zi and that of  Jos North /Bassa Federal Constituency in the forthcoming bye-election scheduled to be held in 90 days by the order of the Appeal Court.

Hon . Zamfara made this disclosure in an exclusive interview with this medium at the State Party Secretariat alone Bukuru Express, Jos South Local Government on Wednesday 1st November 2023.

She said the world is aware of the suspension of Bashiru Lamidi Apapa from the Labour Party and his cohorts for them to stop parading themselves as member of the party after the supreme court judgment that had dismissed the suit filed by (him) Lamidi Apapa when the court ordered Julius Abure to take the mantle of the National Chairmanship in Nigeria.

According to her, the Lamidi Apapa and one Solomon Ndam who are now going about parading as the state chairman mobilizing people across the 17 LGAs for inauguration at the Lamonde Hotel was an unlawful assembly from wards to LGs to cause confusion ahead of the bye-election in the state is uncalled for.

Zamfara admonished the supporters of the LP in Plateau state not to listen to the voice of the enemy in the state, they’re contracted to create unnecessary crises which the party had already disown by punishing those parading Bashiru Lamidi as the National Chairman.

“We have reported this shady activity to security agencies to take action on Solomon Ndam who is claiming the seat of the state chapter, We have disowned him so don’t regard him as a member again, he is a 419 going about deceiving the general public that they’re the only authentic party men.

” Labour Party as a registered political party shall respect the order of the court judgment including their candidates for Plateau North Senatorial District and the Federal House of Rep. Hon.Daniel Asama respectively” , she said.

Hon Grace Zamfara canvases votes across the length and breadth of Plateau state in the forthcoming bye election to all the candidates that are participating in the exercise.

She reiterated that Labour Party won at the presidential, Gubernatorial and all the elections held in Plateau State but the results were rigged in favour of the opposition parties so we are still appealing to Plateau people to drum support and widely vote Labour Party for better service delivery and dividends of democracy.

Zamfara emphasized that those seeing the participation of Edward Pwajok , SAN, in the just concluded trial of the election tribunal shouldn’t misunderstand that he is a legal practitioner who is discharging his professional calling.

She stressed that the party is soliciting the cooperation of all and sundry to wisely vote Labour Party and enjoy the fruit of qualitative representation.
