Plateau Assembly Speaker, Rt Hon Ayuba Charges Afizere Nation To Be Law Abiding Citizens

The Speaker Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Ayuba Abok has charged Afizere Speaking Natives of North Central Nigeria to eschew violence and focus more on promotion of inter tribal unity and oneness.

 

Ayuba made this disclosure at Hill station Hotel, Jos during the official swearing ceremony   of the Afizere National Exco.

 

Rt Hon Ayuba gave this advice to the New Exco for them to use their tenure in bringing about positive change in the diverse cultural community residents in Plateau state.

 

Meanwhile, the President of the Association, Azi Atu Waziri commended the electoral committee for conducting free fair and credible election to usher in new Exco to pilot the affairs of the Izere Development Association of Nigeria.

 

He promised to discharge in his functions effectively to the betterment of good people of Afizere for him to write his name in the history book of the Izere nation.

 

Waziri challenged the elders of the Izere land, especially the Royal Fathers not to get tired of the association as they would be coming for fatherly advice from him time to time.

 

 

The Commissioner of information Plateau State, Dan Manjang and his counterpart from, Land and Survey and Urban Development, Hon, Yakubu Datti, eulogized the people of Afizere Nation by asking them to maintain peaceful existence.

 

Manjang emphasized that leadership goes with challenges of promoting understanding and building block of love through transparent and committed policy.

 

 

The Afizere community of Jos East Local Government of plateau state has been urged to support the present administration of Rt. Hon. Bako Lalong to reciprocate the governor gesture in appointing their children in the key positions of his government.

 

As the present administration of Simon Bako Lalong has brought the Afizere nation to political limelight, as the Izere nation can now have  political position in this present government  ,like the Secretary to the state government (SGS), Speaker of the plateau state house of Assembly, vice Chancellor of plateau State University and many more.

 

The appeal was made by Mallam Abdulmumuni Maimako the chairman of the occasion as part of his welcome address during the swearing in of the National body of Afizere Cultural and Community Development Association (ACCDA)

 

Abdulmumuni said the struggle of the Izere Nation would have been a mirage without the tireless efforts of our fore – father charged the Afizere sons and daughters in an out of the state to be good ambassadors of the Izere Nation.

 

The chairman said the reasons for the Izere Nation to support this present administration of Hon. Lalong, is for the obvious reasons that before this administration come on board, the people of Afizere in plateau State were relegated to background politically until the coming of the present administration that brings the community to limelight by giving us key positions in this government.

 

He urged the Izere nation to support the sons and daughters under this present administration to give their best to avoid what can be best describe as “Bitten The Finger That Fed You”.
