Member representing Pengana constituency in plateau state, Hon .Ezekiel Afon has chided the. DSS over the arrest on Nigerian judges as unlawful and diversionary to the rules of law in Nigeria.
Afon stated this in an interview at his resident in Rock heaven, Jos north LGA.
He applauded the APC government in its current fighting against corrupt government officials in the country but condemned the way a manner members of the juries are been humiliated in the public.
Afon stressed that fighting corruption crusade at the federal and state level is very crucial, desirable and resolute with determination ever than before to ensure that in the past experience.
According to him, the cancer of corruption has eaten deep into the fabric of the society, we all welcome that development but expressed concern that hierarchy personals of judges who are in the temple of justice should be respected.
He reiterated the need to focus on independent of the judiciary in eradicating the system which is already damage beyond the current fight.
Adding, how far have we been able to eradicate into the system of the former governor of Borno Alh modu sheriff’s and Sen. Ahmed Makarfi riffs which had been lingering there for sometimes now .
Afon cautioned the arrest on judiciary what will be the signal been send to common man that the judiciary when a judge collect money before judgment is past.
The member express worried that the judiciary has been impression on the level of damage to the system, what happened recently were police at about 2:30am invaded into the privacy of a judge to arrest in unconstitutional act.
He noted that before someone is been treated as a criminal the law of the land should take its course because Nigeria law provide that one is not guilty unless your proving guilty of an offences.
“I want the world to note that, these judges had not committed any offend, they are treatment should be best on due process of the law for further confirmation through engaging on the dialogue”, he added.
He blamed that the action of arresting judges under the present situation would reduce the country judicial system of crime fighting within the PMB anti-corruption fight.
