Plateau APGA Chairman, Ibrahim Danjuma Commends INEC And Party Leadership In Nigeria

The Plateau State Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA,  Hon.Ibrahim Danjuma Mani(Prof) has commended INEC and the National Chairman of the party for demonstrating true leadership in promoting the tenets of democracy and encouraging the spirit of sportsmanship in Nigeria elections.

 He disclosed that democracy had come to stay in every contest there must be a winner and loser, as the chairman of APGA he singles the Presidential, governorship, senatorial, and state assembly elections as one of the most credible in the country.

Speaking during the official handing over ceremony of certificate of return to the Governor-elect of Plateau State,Barr. Caleb Mutfwang by INEC in Jos, Plateau state capital on Thursday, Hon Ibrahim described the exercise as well democratic.

He said following the efforts made by INEC, Prof.Yakubu Mahmood with the introduction of electronic voting exercise the voting was far as using BVAS machines was more credible and presenting election in any vision to simple to be adjudged as credible.

According to him, APGA as a political party filed in credible candidates for all the elective positions but however, but as the 3rd most popular party in Nigeria, we always demonstrate the spirit of sportsmanship where an election can’t be won by our candidate.

Ibrahim Danjuma Mani(Prof) explained that it is on a note that prior before the election proper some misguided politicians had always caused division and distraction in the party be as it may the efforts of our indefatigably National Chairman Ozonkpu or Victor Ike Oye have never left any stone unturned to ensure the unity of APGA and victory Nationwide.

He stressed that as far as the elections went through I am of the opinion that we should allow peace to reign for the peaceful coexistence of our country Nigeria no doubt it has always been those who lost would want to challenge it in court.

We can’t allow this to escalate beyond imagination thereby causing unnecessary litigation and resulting in more harm than good to our system.

Ibrahim Danjuma Mani(Prof) commended INEC where a certificate of return was issued today the 30th of March, 2023 by INEC across the length and breadth of the country for the position of governors, senatorial, and state assemblies but with the beauty of democracy that the exercise was free of any hitches in Plateau state.

He called on the citizens and beyond to continue to leave in peace with one another and appeal to those who are aggrieved, we employ them to seek redress in the ongoing election tribunal rather than resorting to the instigation of violence following the peaceful conduct of the elections.
