The All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting in Plateau State on Thursday with aggrieved members is gradually yielding positive results, as the Lalong faction and Joshua Dariye had their first face-to-face interactive session.

However, the separate arrival of the following supporters of the two factions accompanied by their key players spelled reaction, but shortly after they harmonize their differences to speak like politicians of different colour but one people.

The Former Governor Simon Bako Lalong was accompanied by the Former Deputy Speaker, Hon .Idris Ahmed Maje Wase , Rt.Hon .Yusuf Babayo Gagdi ,Dr Nentawe ,Botmang ,while the Former Governor Joshua Dariye ,camp is Prof .Nora Daduut ,Hon .Lumumba Adah Adeh , Former Women Affairs Minister,Mrs. Pauline Tallen,Sen. The scheduled stakeholders abandoned their differences to review and discuss the 2023 General elections and the reasons for APC’s failure to produce the next successor to replace Lalong .

According to our medium, the Plateau State office at Kalwa House equally harped on the anti-party activities of its members in the 17 Local Government Areas of the State during and after the Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship, and the State House of Assembly elections.

The emergency sitting which stressed that APC members who worked against the party suggested suspension of all those who worked against the success of the APC in the last elections.

In their separate contributions, the meeting agreed that only those who genuinely worked for the success of the APC in 2023 their names be forwarded to the National Secretariat for appropriate appointments while those who were guilty of anti-party activities should be sanctioned to serve as a deterrent for others or else they might lose grip of the party structure.

Barr Simon Bako Lalong KSGG CON, the former Governor of Plateau State seeks the forgiveness of the state chapter calling and appealing to all a sundry to tolerate him if he has offended them while in office and said he too has forgiven anyone who offended him.

The first phase of the stakeholder’s meeting created tension and confusion, even after the peaceful dialogue that lasted several hours to stimulate more members to come back.

This medium gathered that the state Plateau has been on the bad, the good, and the ugly news where the state is in disarray as political pundits resorted to cheap blackmailed and character assassination.

Since the return of democracy in 1999, the state of Plateau had continued to witness so many crises and unwarranted massacres, the destruction of lives and properties worth billions were innocent indigenes, and travelers are cut into the web of dastardly murders and killings.

In 2006 the state witnessed the state of emergency imposed on his administration to press for Jonah David Jang to enjoy a soft landing when Michael Botmang suddenly emerged as the acting Governor and Chris Ali in charge during Ex-President Obasanjo’s reign.

The dreaded Plateau with too many massacres graduated from Wase, Kanam, Mikang, Langtang South,Langtang North to Plateau, Northern senatorial district of Riyom and its environs and Miango in Bassa LGA.

Whence, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang was declared winner the political massacres shifted from other LGAs to Mangu the governor home town of birth with over 3000 people the natives brutally killed while in their sleep by employed foreign deadly killer squad.

Lalong, appealed to all party faithful to forget the past by forgiving each other for the progress of the party and the state at large.

He assured that the Plateau State APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda Goshwe, is going to get justice at the tribunal and secure the State.

Lalong praised the Plateau State APC members of the National Assembly for acting maturely and falling in line with the mainstream national politics after the leadership tussle of both chambers of the national assembly.

The Former Secretary, Alh. Bashir Musa-Sati expressed confidence that the APC is on the part of fostering peace and is ready to promote peaceful coexistence.

He prayed that the unity of the party is sacrosanct and he urged aggrieved members to solicit for the restoration of APC in the state.

This medium gathered that the ongoing election tribunal is a complete setback if the APC in the state continues building block of hatred and backbiting.
