The All progressive Congress (APC), Right Group in Plateau State have frowned at President Buhari’s appointment of Mr. Joseph Ari at Director General Industrial Training Fund (ITF), saying it negates the principles of equity and fairness.

The members under the aegis of APC-Right Group, in a press statement tagged; “Re: Mr. Joseph Ari’s appointment as DG ITF, Right the wrong Mr. President,” issued by Hon. Joseph Ajang Azi, Hon. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim and four others, stressed that they are particularly concerned about doing things in their right perspectives, which is one of the cardinal principles of the change mantra of the APC-President Muhammadu Buhari’s lead administration.

The group said they wish to stress their unreserved position over the recent appointment of Mr. Joseph Ari as the Director-General of Industrial Training Fund (ITF).

“It is an apt period for us to stress that whereas; Mr. Ari had acidulously worked, supported and campaigned for the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), and erstwhile President Goodluck Jonathan, just like the likes of Ari, had tirelessly strived for the achieved success of the All Progressives Congress, President Buhari and all candidates of the APC, surprisingly, none amongst them was considered to have being deemed fit for appointment as DG ITF,” it said.

The APC-Right Group, said their perception of President Buhari’s consideration for appointment in Plateau state is negating the principles of equity and fairness in spreading it, added that; “so far the Southern zone of the state is gradually becoming the favoured child of the President.”

“Our assertion can be confirmed by the federal appointment of Minister of Youth and Sports development Honourable Solomon Dalung and now Mr. Joseph Ari all from the zone, to the detriments of the two other zones that made up the state notwithstanding, the fact that the State Governor Simon Lalong is also from the zone though validly elected.”

The statement buttress that is a fact that the Northern zone of the state and in particular Jos-North Local Government Area, which gave the President overwhelming support and greater proportions of the votes that had brought up the APC-Federal Government and; “this we say not only in the state but even in the entire country their votes are worthy of mention to reckon with, but their efforts seems to be out-rightly shun by the party and Mr. President scheme of affairs.”

It said APC members in the Central zone of the state have also done very well for the party and yet none of their son or daughter was considered worthy of appointment.

The group alleged that; “besides Mr. Ari’s partisanship with the PDP, his antecedents as director in Industrial Training Funds, contravene in its entirety the change philosophy of quality service delivery of the APC lead administration, yet Mr. Ari was surprisingly considered worthy of appointment by the Government to the detriment of other qualified and qualitative personalities that are within the APC folds in the State.”

The group said they are not outright in condemnation of Mr. Ari, but all that they are asking from the federal Government is to consider those that have also strived for its successful ascension to leadership; “and such personalities couldn’t have been in the PDP, rather the APC, which has in abundance capable hands, we say do the right things at the appropriate time.

“We wonder how Mr. Ari’s name came to being, because all we know he was never at any time nominated/short listed  by the state chapter of the APC, of course it will not simply because he doesn’t belongs,” the statement read in parts.
