The All Blending Party ,ABP ,Plateau state chapter has given her reasons for the adoption of Rtd Major General Jon Jonathan Temlong as their sole gubernatorial candidate for 2019 general election by calling on 20 political parties to join them in projecting the state .
The State Chairman,Hon Raymond Amark who led the party Exco to the ADP office on Wednesday in Jos south said the security situation in the state is paramount to everyone and the unity of the state has continued in the past 20 years of our democracy, so we want a capable hand to change this narrative and reposition the state for qualitative service delivery.
The following state Exco were welcomed by the state chairman of the ADP ,Hon Gideon’s Adamu which include; Jonathan Dapian secretary, Miss Lois Dandam Treasurer ,Barr. Reuben Wuyep Legal Adviser, Nannim Longbap Admin, Mrs. Bridget Awos Auditor at the party secretariat.
Amark disclosed that the state is more polarized with sentiments, disunity along ethnic and religious divide, as he said we are now calling on other political parties to help effect change in the state leadership.
He said; “we have lost dignity and sense of judgment as a people and we employ every right thinking Plateau voters to vote wisely for a credible candidate of Rtd Major General Jonathan Temlong who has offer himself to provide the desire leadership that would rescue the people.
Amark stressed that they were in the office to show their collective support to the ADP gubernatorial candidate who is running for the seat of the governorship in the State.
He maintained that ,they came to a conclusion on which way forward for the deliverance of Plateau from the challenges we are facing as a people therefore, “our desire as party faithful of the ABP to adopt him for governor and elect our presidential .
Responding, Rtd Major General, Jon Temlong said this is the greatest moment for the Plateau,”we have patriotic citizens who have Plateau at heart and are willing to effect change to better.
He applauded the ABP leadership for identifying with him in the project of transforming the state to an enviable height and promised them he will not disappoint their trust.
According to him, the state is going to witness transparency, committed leadership with people oriented programs that can impact positively in the lives of Plateau citizens.
He assured if given the mandate the issue related to religious, social discrimination will be carefully taken serious because everybody will be proud of being a Plateau citizens under his watch including persons living with disabilities and youth, women to get 50% attention.
We will work together to give a future it is not selfish interest that iam vying for the position of Governor of Plateau state but due to the yearning and patriotic conviction attach with my human feeling to secure the atmosphere good enough for business to strive where no one will be discriminated .
The state chairman ,Gideon Adamu also stated the confidence of his party readiness to accommodate all those party men and women who adopted their candidate.
