In what can be described as consensus building, taking ownership of governance framework and essentially setting agenda, the new administration in Edo state will be hosting a three-day workshop from Thursday 8th December, 2016 to Saturday 10th December, 2016.
The three-day residential workshop scheduled to take place in Benin City is tagged, “Setting Agenda for the new administration in Edo state: the Road to Prosperity”.
The workshop is aimed at discussing implementation strategies across six thematic issues such as economic revolution, institutional reforms, environmental sustainability, social welfare enhancement, infrastructural development, culture, entertainment and tourism’.
The workshop which has about 150 persons as participants is expected to build a consensus and ownership of government programs.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. John Mayaki said, “Politicians, members of civil society, religious and traditional leaders, academicians, technocrats and permanent secretaries have been invited to the workshop”.
