About fifteen people were said to have been critically injured while two cars vandalized along Federal low-cost road in Bauchi metropolis.

This followed an allege attack by mob believed to be faction of Bauchi state students Union president Musa Jibrin.

It could be recalled that the students Union had recently conducted separate elections that almost culminated into crisis as other faction is accusing government, while another faction is accusing the national assembly from Bauchi for sponsoring their preferred candidates.

14797325_1123071927728497_1037135348_nAddressing journalists at the NUJ secretariat Tuesday, Nuru Nasiru Cigari president of the faction said, they were attacked after condoling the family of Alhaji Hassan Lame in federal low-cost.

Cigari added that the governor’s aide on students matter Comrade Mohammed Abbakar Jibo lead the mob attack with other several students.

According to him, apart from the fifteen people that were injured from his faction, others had to flee for their dear life explaining that the case has been reported to the police.

The factional president stressed that he is the legitimate NUBASS president as he was duly elected by the entire Bauchi state students.

He cautioned Musa Jibrin to henceforth stop parading self as NUBASS president as claim, since he was only crowned by government agents not the entire Bauchi state students.

According to Cigari Bauchi government appears to have politicized student’s union election due to his closeness with the National assembly members from Bauchi in the fear that his emergence may threaten the governor’s 2019 succession.

The president advice the executive to concentrate in the business of providing democracy dividends instead of diverting people attention through politicizing student’s union elections.

Cigari therefore urge the faction of Musa Jibrin to toe a path of honour and obey the verdict of students who voted him as NUBASS president with a view to supporting him to implement its blueprints to better the lots of students in the state.

The PPRO Mahmood Mohhamed told journalists when they contacted him for confirmation on the report of the incident.
