We Petitioned Nigeria Police Over The Murder Of Abubakar Wada With His Head Missing-Miyetti Allah

The Plateau State Chapter of Miyyety Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN), has alleged that one of their youth was killed and beheaded in Bassa Local Government Area of the State.

The MACBAN, in its letter of complaint to the State Commissioner of Police, signed by Chairman Muhammad Nuru Abdullahi, made available to newsmen, said the deceased was attacked and killed on the Wednesday, 29th August, 2017.

According to the letter, the Bassa branch of MACBAN, reported to the State Chairman that, “Some Irigwe youth of Dan Tanko, village, on Wednesday 29, August, 2019 have attacked, killed and beheaded one, Abubakar Wada, for reasons yet to be made known to us.”

It said the deceased was killed while he was returning back home after rearing his cows, at behind ECWA Secondary Miango, stressing that his dead body was burnt and buried at a stream North of Dan Tanko village.

“On Saturday 2 September, 2017 with the help of the security agencies, the corpse was evacuated and properly buried according to Islamic rights,” the letter read in part.

They herders called on the Police commissioner to take appropriate steps of considering their prayers of, transferring the case his criminal investigation, to investigate the issue, brought the perpetrators to book and also urged security agencies to take appropriate majors against drug dealers.

They said they will continue to cooperate to all processes that may lead to peace and peaceful coexistence.

However, the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Tyopev Terna, said on a telephone chat, that he was not aware of the petition.

“If it was a petition, the CP will minute it to the CID office, and from there I will get to know. But now that you have informed me of it, I will put it in my schedule and will give information latter,” he added.
