The Zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Southern Senatorial District of Plateau state ,Hon. Simon Domle has disclosed that the party is not engulfed in any internal crisis as insinuated by the general public but they are more united than ever.
Speaking in an interview with journalists in Jos,Domle frowned at the manner in which people peddled rumours that could create unnecessary tension among party faithful.
He said,PDP in southern zone remain united no course for alarm, the party is much stronger than ever before ,we are building confidence in our supporters .
According to him,”there have never been a time when the party is united as it is now, so under the able leadership of our Governor Caleb Mutfwang and Elder forum Chairman Hon. Raymond Dabo for their amiable leadership style of promoting unity and understanding between the stakeholders.
“Domle applauded the IPAC State Chairman, Hon. Chris Hassan for his pragmatic quality of building blocks of love as the State Chairman who put the party in the right direction.
“He reiterated that the information available was that the Plateau southern zone of the PDP is in disarray that is not true but an unfounded allegation.
“Why I laugh at them is that any political party that has the capacity of PDP should definitely experience minor problems of internal wrangling.
The PDP Chairmen at all levels always experienced dispute which is the beauty of democracy but that can settle without any rancor that happened, of course when more than one person contestants for a position you will expect discontentment which usually happened,”he said .
“That does mean that the party is divided. Internal rancor in a party is a usual thing. Those shouting that PDP has a serious problem in the southern zone are the ones with the problem, not PDP. The party is rooted in good structure, and I want to assure all PDP followers that there’s not cause for alarm.
Simon Domle explained further that recently the NWC had inaugurated a committee to take care of the issues in Shendam LGA and they have met with the both party stakeholders and they are making serious progress.
“You would recalled that the Executive Governor Caleb Mutfwang always emphasized on the unity of the state not only in PDP but the country at large .
“The PDP umbrella is very large that can accommodate everybody, the last October 9th 2024 local government elections which is one of the credible so far PDP swept all the 17 local government with only few Councillorship position that was won by the opposition parties.
“Hon Domle also said , Governor Mutfwang is doing well in the area of projects and human capital development has really attracted people’s attention to the PDP, and the performance in development by embarking on people’s oriented projects .
He lauded “Senator Jonah David Jang and Mutfwang for bringing progress and developed to the state, adding, the whole 8 years of the APC in Plateau State cannot be compared with the first one year of Mutfwang when it comes to agriculture, road project human capital development, and security”
Domle stressed that under the stewardship of Mutfwang the state had attracted many investors than ever before and the glory of Plateau is gradually returning back.
He called on all the PDP faithful in the Southern zone to continue to remain united and committed to the development of the zone and Plateau State at large.
Domle also commended Governor Mutfwang’s giant stride projects in the state ,as he also commended Hon Chris Hassan for handling the party affairs well by carrying every body along.
