The Peoples Democratic Party has won the Nassarawo/ Binyeri Adamawa State Assembly Constituency Bye Election held today.
Announcing the election results at Jereng, the Constituency headquarters, Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) returning officer Dr. Anthony Augustin Ndavo declared Malam Umar Abdulkarim of the PDP as scoring the highest number of votes and therefore duly elected.
Meanwhile, the returning officer while announcing the results declared that the PDP scored 12,040 votes, while the ACN scored 1,626 votes, and the Kowa Party whose candidates was alleged to have been sponsored by the Governor had 7,840 votes.

However, universalreporters.info gathered that there were accusations against the Governor and  Mijinyawa Kugama over an alleged anti-party activity as it  was evident that Kugama, State serving Commissioners, Advisers, Local Government Chairmen who are loyal to the governor, were all in the field canvassing support for the Kowa party candidate, but they were checkmated by the resolute attitude of the people  who refuse to indulge in anti-party activities.
With this defeat, it is obvious that the Chief Joel Madaki led PDP in the state is now fully on ground and which also spell doom for the governor in the state politics.
