PDP Will Reclaim Back Their Stolen Mandate in Plateau- Shekarau

The member representing Shendam, Qua’anpan and Mikang federal constituency, representative, Hon. Johnbull Shekarau has said, the People Democratic Party will reclaim back its stolen mandates in Plateau state. Shekarau stated this yesterday in an exclusive interview with journalists at the state High court, Jos, Plateau state.

He assured Nigerians that People Democratic Party will bounce back in the 2019 general elections.

The former deputy speaker, Hon Shekarau said the PDP gave APC the landslide victory in the 2015 general elections because of mistakes of zoning arrangement.

Speaking on his battle at Tribunal he said,”we cannot blame the delay of the court because it has the final say, everyone that had approach court is expecting victory so, I pray that the jurists can deliver good judgment.

Johnbull Shekarau called for speedy completion of all the litigation to enable him discharge his oversight function of quality representation at National level.

He explained,”The election is a process you never finish until the tribunal cases are over, the fact still remains that election is still ongoing but if issues are not raised then you cannot understand.

Shekarau reiterated that the PDP have lost to APC due to lack of trust and transparency among the leadership of the party at the state level.

He also tasked people on the change that will bring positive transformation to the people of the state.

The Chairman of Election Tribunal has adjourned to 25th July, 2015 for final written addresses   and   continuation    of hearing.  Justice O.O Akeredolu called on the legal counsels to speedy up their arguments for final addresses to avoid unnecessary delay.

“I am a strong PDP supporters and I believe in the rule of law so we are appealing to the supporters in the southern zone to remain focus that we are prepared for the victory at the tribunal”, Shekarau.

He noted that the issues that came up for hearing include polling units result collection and manual results generated from the polling units.

However, counsel to Johnbull Shekarau on paragraph2,3 ,7 and   26 Q said dealing with the results problem  and registers of voters was brought before the election tribunal.

Shekarau added that the  petitioner is challenging the result of no 9,13 and 17 all speak about the result of the polling which the petitioner agree that it has been taken care of.

According to the counsel to APC, in his argument he added that once documents have been mentioned in general attempt, we are relaying on the tribunal for the purpose of admissibility.

Counsel to PDP, Barrister Emmanuel pointed that he addressed the court with the believe that the subject is admissible.

We are going to admit everything in the final judgment ,stressing further that the tribunal have given all the counsels second chance to argued the matter with remaining three days left to round up the final arguments.
