A governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Johnbull Shekarau  has challenged the party to maintain the zoning arrangement to the southern zone or it would truncate the political journey of the state and what led to the defeat of PDP in 2015 might happen again .

He warned the party against given the 2019 primaries to the money bags politician that are planning to hijack ,saying if any attempt to do so the state chapter of PDP are going to lose to massive defections of members .

Shekarau described the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) administration led by Governor Simon Bako Lalong in Plateau State, as an administration “governing the state with old traditional way with lack of adequate policies “.

Rt. Hon. Johnbull Shakarau, who is presently representing Shendam/Mikang/Qua’anpan Federal Constituency at the Lower chambers of the National Assembly (NASS),  has picked PDP’s forms to express his interest to replace the sitting Governor of the state, come 2019.

He challenged  the administration of Governor Lalong, that its  lacks the right principle  to create the enabling environment for businesses to thrive in the state, adding ,PDP members we all learned our lesson all of us have feel the pains of losing government seat .

Hon. Johnbull, who spoke to reporters after submitting his forms to the PDP state party, says we have all agree to turn a good leave by allowing the southern zone so zoning arrangement is in our heart.

“While Plateau State is in the 21stcentury, Governor lalong is still governing using the old,I consulted with stakeholders ,friends and family so I realized that I should present myself to the people of Plateau state come 2019 as the only credible person full gospel of experience in governance”, he added.

According to him what the state needs right now, are people like me with fresh ideas that can make governance more effective.

“If you look around you, you would find that the roads in the state are in a very bad shape, with no new ones being constructed, from the northern zone to the Southern zone of the state.

“The worse is that there is no water available for the citizens to drink, while our healthcare system in the state can simply be compared to pre-colonial days when only the privileged ones can afford and access it.

The state’s educational system is not worth talking about; as that has taken one of the lowest positions when compared to states it shares same status of old.

“If I am given the privileged to govern, I will create an environment where all these issues would be remedied and effective dedication to service would be the order of the day.

“We need to step up as a state into the 21stcentury like other states and countries.

“This Lalong’s administration is too traditional, with no science and technology.
