The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP has distanced itself and also President t Goodluck Jonathan in from the impeachment of former governor of Adamawa state, Murtala Nyako and the ongoing effort at removing from office the governor of Nasarawa state, Tanko Al-Makura.
The PDP National Auditor, Alhaji Adewole Adeyanju, who stated this yesterday in statement said; Adeyanju, challenge the All Progressive Congress (APC) and its leaders to come out with facts that President Jonathan was involved in any way in the impeachment saga to convince Nigerians and the International Community that they were sure of what they are saying or shut up and stop feeding the Public with tissue of lies.

Speaking further he said; “The questions we should be asking ourselves are did the lawmakers follow the Constitution of the land? Did they follow due process? Were they served with impeachment notices for them to defend themselves?
“This is mere blasphemy and it will not work. Nyako was served with impeachment notice to appear before a seven -man panel to defend himself against all the allegations levelled against him and he refused to obey. What did he do? He went ahead to declare two days public holiday for reasons best known to him while his deputy resigned when he knew that the game was up.
“In the case of that of Governor Al-Makura, the House wanted to serve him impeachment notice on several occasions but he refused service before the lawmakers went ahead and published it in the newspapers. Tell me the involvement of either the PDP or Mr President? They should leave Mr President and our party out of their predicaments. We know nothing about it, it is democracy in action.”
According to the Party’s leadership, he said they merely laughed when one of the APC leaders threatened to retaliate in Ekiti State where the PDP just won its governorship election and as well in Osun state should the PDP win.
Adeyanju also said: “They are jokers, our Governor-elect in Ekiti, Dr Ayodele Fayose, will be sworn-in and complete his tenure, no jupiter can remove him because he will rule according to the wishes of the people of the state who voted for him. So, also in Osun our candidate, Senator Iyiola Omisore will throw out Aregbesola of APC and he will be sworn in and as well complete his tenure. Nothing will happen, he will even go for second term by the grace of God.”
The Auditor also urged Governor Al-Makura not to listen to  wrong advice from the leaders of the APC who have been telling him not to appear before any panel when set up by the state Chief Judge as required by the law of the land.

“Appearing before the Panel will give him the opportunity to clear his name, the members of the panel are not politicians or foreigners, they will listen to him and at the end of the day they may give him a clean bill of health,” Adeyanju said.
