PDP Plans To Punish Governor Nyako, Inaugurates Disciplinary Committee.

The Adamawa State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party is preparing to punish Governor Murtala Nyako over his alleged anti-party activity role in the May 11 bye-election held in the state.

Inaugurating the committee, Chairman of the party in the State Chief Joel Madaki said that no person is above the party and as such whoever that was involved in anti-party activity in the last bye election will be disciplined thoroughly.

Meanwhile, universalreporters.info gathered that though no person has been specifically mentioned by the party, sources within the PDP Executives in the State points to Governor Nyako and his cliques who were involved in sponsoring the candidate for the Kowa Party, as the people that may get the said punishment.

The Committee members are Alhaji. Jingi Rufai, State Deputy Chairman of the party as the Chairman of the committee, while the members are; Hon Alfa Belel, Hon Jerry Kumdusi, Hon.Bamanga Yaya, Hon. Sam Zadok the State Legal Adviser, Captain Altine, the State Woman Leader and Hon Mahmud Gurumtawo as the Secretary of the Committee.

Meanwhile the disciplinary committee had since called for written memorandum of understanding from party members in the state, to submit to the committee names of any member of the party who was involved in anti-party activity in the last bye-election, no matter how highly placed the person is.

However, the former PDP Secretary in the State, PP Elisha has accused the party of targeting members of the state government in the guise of disciplining them for anti-party activity.

According to Chief Phineas Pwanohoma Elisha (popularly known as PP Elisha) the former PDP secretary in the state, he said most of the members of the committee are PDP renegades who decamped to other party and have now returned to punish members who never left the party like them.
