The Plateau state chapter of People Democratic Party head for another fresh battle as the party national secretariat set to impose the choice of former Governor Amb. Fedelis Tapgun.
Owning to some technical challenges of zoning arrangement which, PDP, is known for the party has rejected the candidate of Sen.GNS Pwajok .
The alleged dubious results of the recent Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship primary elections which fielded Sen. Gyang Pwajok as winner have been rejected by the national secretariat of the party, reports say.
Our correspondent gathered that, this follows the non-approval of the results by the returning officer in charge of the elections, Sen. Nasiru Mantu.
Mantu had refused approving the results for submission owing to perceived anomalies; a source in the National secretariat of PDP disclosed this to our correspondent.
What the latest developments potent is that there is likely to be a rerun of the elections.
Reports indicate that the PDP leadership has adopted former governor of the state, Fidelis Tapgun as a replacement for GNS.
But a political analyst in the state views the report as baseless giving the fact that the closest contender to GNS in the Primaries was the present Deputy Governor of the state, Ignatius Longjan.

As at the time of filing this report, no official statement had been obtained on the matter as all efforts to reach the leadership of the PDP in the state proved abortive.
