The Head of New Media of the Peoples Democratic Party Campaign Council in Kwara State, Baba Idris, has stated that the party’s Governorship Candidate, Hon. Razak Atunwa, is still in the race.
Idris stated this in a statement on Friday amid social media postings that Atunwa had withdrawn from the race, with the party telling Kwarans to vote for any candidate of their choice.
Idris said: “The PDP Candidate, Hon. Razak Atunwa is in this race for Governorship, to win the race.
“This is because he knows that he has the requisite experience, both legislative and executive, to put Kwara on the path of development.
“The upcoming election is not about PDP or APC, it is about who has the most experience to push our state forward. It is about who can and will always PUT KWARA FIRST.
“Disregard any such statements coming from the opposition. ATUNWA IS RUNNING FOR GOVERNOR, and ATUNWA WILL WIN, by the grace of the Almighty and the votes of the people of Kwara.”
