Parents of Under Age Children Raped in Nasarawa State Cries For Justice

Parents of three under age children in Tudun Abu inhabitant of Lafia Local Government Area of Nasarawa State has called on the National Human Right Commission to expedite action in fighting the cause of injustice meted on their wards.

The parents called on the appropriate authority to ensure that due process are followed; Hajiya Ya’a Tudun Abu and Nasiru stated this while reacting on the delay in punishing one Ibrahim Baba AKA Baban Daki.

Baban Daki according to the parents was nab on the 9/05/2017 at their family compound in Tudun Abu for raping three of their underage wards, the wards are Zainab Bala 7 and half years, Hadiza Musa 7years and Safiya Nasiru 8 years respectively.

Ya’a stated that Ibrahim Baba Usabatu who was with the Criminal Investigation Department was a herbalist who used to give assistance to people was sleeping inside a mosque before he was given an accommodation at their family compound.

“One fateful day when I saw my daughter, Hadiza Musa I started suspecting something between the two of them, in fact I had been trailing him for some months”.

“If we are inside the house he will come out and if we are outside he will remain inside pretending to be teaching the female kids lesson”.

“When I discovered what he was doing to the kids I did not hesitate to ask my daughter, Hadiza and she give detail of what transpired between her and the other two under age”.

Calling on the NHRC and the CID to stand firm for the right of the children whom she said were battered. The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP.Idrisu Kennedy could not be reached for comment as at press time.
