Paramount Ruler Of Irigwe Land Rev.Ronku Aka Makes Case For Return Of 9 Villages In Bassa LGA

The Paramount Ruler of the Irigwe Land in Bassa Local Government Council of Plateau State, His Royal Highness,Rev. Ronku Aka rtd , The Braa Nggwe Rigwe has appealed to the Plateau State Government to consider the plight of affected nine (9) villages in Bassa LGA that were internally displaced by incessant attacks for their return to go back to their ancestry homes.

Speaking during the 2023 Otu Rigwe at Rwang Pam Township Stadium, Jos on Saturday, Braa Nggwe this year’s message centre on peaceful coexistence amongst the Irigwe and Fulani herders.

Ronku Aka called on the sons and daughters of Irigwe land to remain united for the progress of the land by appealing to Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang to rehabilitate the road networks linking the University of Accountancy, ANAN, at Kwal to elevate the suffering of students in the college.

According to him, the deplorable state of the roads had hampered meaningful development in the area forcing many of the college students to stay outside the premises of the university.

He commended the GOC 3rd Armor Div for the restoration of peace in Irigwe land where he decried that they were under siege and they prayed for God’s protection for the entire people of Irigwe natives in Nigeria.

Ronku Aka promised to continue to promote and ensure peace reigns in his domain as he encouraged Nigerians to live in harmony with one another in spite of the level of provocation they are encountering.

He stressed that every tribe in the country has bad eggs whose business is to create conflict and acrimony to survive but vows to fish out bad ones.

Ronku Aka disclosed that as food basket of the state whose people are predominantly agrarian in nature needs accessible roads to transport their farm produce to the state capital to reduce the hunger experience.

He solicited the cooperation of all a sundry to raise funds to elevate the plight of internally displaced people and the orphans of those whose parents were killed during the dastardly mayhem.

Ronku expressed concern over the problem of insecurity and the challenges of kidnapping innocent citizens by appealing to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intervene and caution the situation.
