Pandemonium In Alkaleri,Bauchi As Residents flee Following Sporadic Shootings By Soldiers

There was pandemonium in Alkaleri LGA of Bauchi state which is about 50 km from Bauchi-Gombe road as residents flee to different direction heading to the bush

The pandemonium this medium learnt was caused by armed soldiers who shot their guns in the sky as a signal of heading to Biu, in Borno state for mop up against Boko-haram.

The soldiers it was learnt scared residents of Alkaleri and environs by shooting sporadically in the air compared.

The development resulted to serious commotion as shop owners hurriedly close-down including public and private schools in the area.

A resident who spoke to newsmen said, several gun shots were heard from distance and residents suspected it could be  Boko-Haram and were left with no other option than to flee for safety

The situation according to him caused serious gridlock along Bauchi-Gombe road, thereby forcing passers-by be in fearful mood even when it was later confirm that soldiers were responsible for the gun shot.
