The Ecuadorian Ambassador to Nigeria Leopoldo Rovayo Verdesoto receives the elected OPEC Secretary Alhaji Barkindo to the Embassy of Ecuador in Abuja.
Expressing his appreciation H.E Ambassador Leopoldo said, the visit was healthy to foster prolific cooperation between OPEC countries. Ambassador also mentioned the challenges facing OPEC in the medium and long term.
Alhaji Barkindo appreciated the support of the Ecuadorian Government of Mr Rafael Correa for his election. He says he will work hard in OPEC issues. Barkindo was elected as Secretary General of OPEC 2 June 2016 and will assume his duties in Vienna in August 2016.
